Tim Cusack (Dancer) is the co-artistic director of Theatre Askew. For Askew he has appeared as Tim Jackson-Smith in Bald Diva! (named a notable performance of 2004 by nytheatre.com and Theater Mania), Ariel in The Tempest, and “1” in i google myself . Also for Askew he conceived, co-adapted, co-directed, choreographed and appeared as Caligula in the six-part serial adaptation of the legendary BBC miniseries I, Claudius. For his work on that production, Next magazine named him a “Future Legend.” Most recently he directed and choreographed the world premiere of William M. Hoffman and Anthony Holland’s play Cornbury: The Queen’s Governor, starring David Greenspan and Everett Quinton. He made his debut as a dancer in Jonathan Larson’s site-specific musical J.P. Morgan Saves the Nation choreographed by Doug Elkins. Other dance-theater credits include work with Tanya Kane-Parry (Fragments, A Love Story), Allen Tibbetts (I Think I Ken), and Caroline Jauch (The Handless Maiden), as well as Alexandra Beller’s Moving Men. This May he and Theatre Askew will curate Avant-Garde-Arama at P.S. 122. He contributes a bimonthly column to Stage Directions magazine on the challenges facing independent theatre producers. In 2007 nytheatre.com named him one of its People of the Year.

Edward Rice (Dancer), originally from the suburbs of Chicago, started dancing as a child and received his early training from The School for Saltcreek Ballet, Lyons Township High School, and Jo’s Footwork Studio. He holds a B.S. in Performance from Illinois State University and a M.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University of Iowa where his was a recipient of the Iowa Arts Fellowship. His choreography has received honors at American College Dance Festival Association Conferences and has been performed through out the Mid-West. His work has most recently been presented at Dixon Place and at the Wild Project as part of Synethisia by Electric Pear Productions. He has had the pleasure of dancing with Jennifer Kayle + Company, the Brian Brooks Moving Company, Stone Depot Dance Lab, Jody Obeferelder Dance Projects, and Benjamin Rasmussen. He is so happy to be doing his first project with Alexandra Beller/Dances. In his other life he is the Technical Director at Dance New Amsterdam.

Jenna Riegel (Dancer) grew up in Fairfield, Iowa and holds an M.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University of Iowa. Jenna has performed in works by Tatiana Baganova, Carolyn Dorfman, Michel Kouakou, Gabriel Masson, Donald McKayle, Jennifer Nugent & Paul Matteson and Bill Young. In addition to Alexandra Beller/Dances, Jenna currently dances for David Dorfman Dance, johannes weiland and Tania Isaac Dance. Jenna is thrilled be performing with Alexandra Beller/Dances and is grateful to her family and friends for their unconditional love and support.

Toni Melaas (Dancer) is currently finishing up her 8th year as a member of Alexandra Beller/Dances, with whom she will kick off a European tour this summer,and working on projects with Netta Yerushalmy/Dancing People and Gerald Casel Dance Company, with whom she recently finished a three month stint in Europe. Among others, she has had the pleasure of performing nationally and internationally with Shen Wei Dance Arts (including the State Theater), Faye Driscoll, Melissa Briggs Dance, David Dorfman Dance (BAM), Risa Jaroslow and Dancers, and Sara Pearson and Patrik Widrig, with the Aquila Theater Company with Olympia Dukakis, and in the films 'Across the Universe' (Julie Taymor) and 'The Hottest State' (Ethan Hawk). Toni shares her company Hatch NYC (www.hatchnewyork.com) with partner Lily Baldwin, bringing customized yoga and pilates to individual clients and corporations in NYC and throughout the U.S, and on retreats worldwide. Many thanks to the generosity of these beautiful performers and to Alexandra's wisdom and love.

Milvia Pacheco Salvatierra (Dancer), after working as guest with Rastro Dance Company in New York (2000) and Venezuela (2001), moved to New York to work with the company in 2004. Born in Caracas-Venezuela, Milvia trained in Taller de Danza de Caracas; Instituto Superior de Danza; and Danzahoy Escuela. For three years she worked as a member of Taller de Danza de Caracas (90-93). For more than 12 years she has danced with Danzahoy’s seasons as well as toured to renowned festivals in Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Puerto Rico, USA, Canada, Finland and France, including Danzahoy’s most recent “Exodo” season at the Joyce Theatre in NYC. Milvia’s own choreographies, “KM 0” (2004) and “ATAJO” (2007) has been presented by Rastro at London’s ICA and the Avant-garde Festival of Merida, as well as NYC and Caracas. Her acting experience includes Grupo Actoral 80,Taller Experimental de Teatro, and Altofs in Buenos Aires Argentina. She is one of the founders of Posarte, a company that strives to actively explore movement and scenic design towards inspiring and integrating other artists- painters, sculptors, composers and poets. Posarte was founded in Caracas in 1999 and it’s project Milvia hopes to develop here in NYC.

Robert Poss (Sound Designer) has performed and recorded with Rhys Chatham, Nicolas Collins, Ben Neill, Phill Niblock, David Dramm, Susan Stenger and Bruce Gilbert. In 1986, he formed the wall-of-guitars group Band of Susans, which Rolling Stone Magazine described as "adamantly arty, brainy, visceral and bracing." BOS released two EPs and five full-length CDs (all produced by Poss) before disbanding in 1995. In 2002 Poss released two companion solo CDs, "Distortion Is Truth" and "Crossing Casco Bay" on Trace Elements Records. Of his recent solo work, Tape Op Magazine writes “Guitar genius, drone meister … Robert Poss is the master of treated and manipulated guitars.” He continues to perform his guitar and electronics pieces in the U.S., the U.K. and Europe.

Justin Donham (Stage Manager) Broadway: Dance of Death with Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. Off Broadway credits include shows at the New Group, Cherry Lane, and with the Worth Street Theater Company. Other NYC credits include shows at HERE, 59E59, PS122, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the Shalimar. Regional: Vineyard Playhouse and Princeton Shakespeare. He has also toured with experimental jazz composer Fred Ho and extensively with Anne Bogart's SITI Co. including the Dublin International Festival, Bonn Biennale (Germany), MC93 Bobigny (France), American Repertory Theatre, Court Theatre, Krannert Center, The Walker Art Center, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Amanda K. Ringger (Lighting Designer) has lived in New York for over 11 years designing locally, nationally and internationally with artists such as Alexandra Beller, Julian Barnett, Laura Peterson, Faye Driscoll, Kota Yamazaki, Darrah Carr, and Karen Love/Umoja, among others. She received a BA from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD and an MFA in lighting design from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

Janessa Clark (Company Manager)
Janessa has been an active member of the New York dance community since 2001 as a choreographer, performer, teacher, and independent administrator. Her company, Janessa Clark/KILTERBOX, has performed successfully in the U.S. and throughout Europe. She has performed with a wide array of artists such as Gina Gibney Dance, STEELEDANCE, and Noemie Lafrance. Janessa was the Assistant Director of Erica Essner Performance Co-Op from 2007-2008 and managed the costume collection for johannes wieland from 2004-2006. She holds a BFA in Choreography from Arizona State University where she also received the Undergraduate Choreography Award. Janessa has been a faculty member at Dance New Amsterdam since 2005 and the Theater Programming Manager since 2008. Janessa is a Harlem Stage/Fund for New Work and a Women at Work grant recipient.

Tara Burns (IT Designer) Since 2006, Tara has worked in NYC as a dancer, graphic/web designer, company manager, and projection designer. In addition to Alexandra Beller/Dances, Tara's most recent design and projection work has been with Slipperyfish Dance and Adele Myers and Dancers. Prior to moving to NYC, she had the opportunity to dance professionally throughout Germany and the UK, while receiving her MA in Digital Performance in England. Tara is fortunate to currently dance with Adele Myers and Dancers and has had the opportunity to perform with white road Dance Media, Andrea Haenggi/AMDaT, Kelly Drummond Cawthon of Shapiro and Smith Dance, Palindrome Inter.media Dance Group and Kathinka Walter Dance among others. Her choreographic work has been presented throughout Florida including the CityArts Factory Orlando, University of Florida, Moving Currents NewGrounds Tampa, The Winter Garden Theater, The Orlando International Fringe Festival, Valencia Community College and most recently in New York at the HATCH Performance Series. www.taraleeburns.com
